WEDDING BUDGET

Get organised

Start a budget spreadsheet with three expense columns entitled Estimated and Actual. While creating this spreadsheet, enter all the aspects of the wedding you plan to include from Wedding Dress, Grooms Outfit, Flowers etc followed by your estimated allocations for each. Under each main category ie; Outfits: list bridal wear, bridesmaids, shoes etc Flowers: Bouquet, Church Flowers, Venue Flowers etc

Then add a line for additional fees for each category to account for unforeseen costs. As you finalise the budget, you'll realise where you need to reduce spending and where you can save.

Saving Tips

• Consider buying a used dress/suits at a fraction of the price.

• Rentals are also a great way to save

• DIY some of your decorations/stationery

• Follow vendors on social media for discounts

• Visit local wedding fairs ask about discount for booking on the day!

Allocate effectively

Allocate 50% of your budget to the essentials, such as venue, catering, and wedding outfits. These are the main fundamentals that will shape the overall feel of your day. Assign 30% to photography/videography, entertainment, and décor, this is where you can add your personality and have lasting memories. Reserve 20% for all over costs including unexpected expenses. This will help you prioritise spending while maintaining financial discipline throughout the planning process, ensuring a memorable wedding within your means.
